Questions worth answering before you start
- Is there a free plan?
- No. There is a 14-day trial with every capability switched on, and then you choose a plan. We would rather be clear about that up front than have you build a warehouse on something we later take away.
- What happens when the trial ends?
- Your account goes read-only. Everything you entered is still there and you can read and export all of it — you just cannot take on new work until you pick a plan. We do not delete data and we do not lock you out of your own records.
- Do I need a card to start?
- No. Start the trial with an email address. You will not be charged anything unless you choose a plan.
- Which plan has the AI in it?
- All of them. Order parsing, product matching, the copilot and the reorder advisor are on the cheapest plan — we would rather you use them and decide you want more than pay for a capability you have only read about. What the higher tiers add is scale: batch picking and inbound tracking for a busier floor, vision verification and regional analytics for a bigger one.
- What is an AI credit?
- One unit of AI work. Parsing an order or a copilot question costs 1; a forecast run costs 2. Shipment verification costs 2 per PHOTOGRAPH the model examines, so a bench that shoots three sides of a box spends six on that parcel. Everything else in the product — receiving, picking, packing, shipping, labels, reporting — is unmetered and costs nothing.
- What if I run out of credits?
- The AI features pause until the next monthly refill; the warehouse keeps running. Packing verification does not stop the bench either — it falls back to barcode checking, which is a real check and is what the system did before the model existed. We email you before you get there, and you can move up a plan at any time; the new allowance applies immediately.
- Can I change plans later?
- Any time, in both directions. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period, so you keep what you paid for.
- Why is nothing unlimited?
- Because the AI runs on our own hardware rather than someone else's API, and an account with no ceiling would be paid for in every other customer's response time. The allowances are set well above what normal use needs.
- Do you offer anything above Scale?
- Yes — higher credit allowances, more seats, and single-tenant deployment for operations that need it. That one is a conversation rather than a checkout.

Pricing questions
How much does Kinetel cost?
- Three plans: Starter at $100 a month, Growth at $250, and Scale at $550. All three are flat-rate rather than per-user, and all three are a complete warehouse system — inventory and lot tracking, barcode scanning, picking, packing, shipping and purchase orders — with AI order parsing, the warehouse copilot and the reorder advisor included on every plan. The tiers differ by the scale of the operation: included users, monthly AI credits, and the operational features a larger warehouse needs, such as batch picking and shipment verification.
Is pricing per user?
- No. Each plan includes a number of users — 5 on Starter, 20 on Growth, 100 on Scale — and the price does not change within that allowance. This matters most for seasonal staff: per-seat pricing means your software bill peaks in the same quarter your margins are thinnest, and the usual workaround, sharing logins, destroys the audit trail that was half the reason to have the system.
What are AI credits and what happens when they run out?
- A credit is one AI operation: parsing an order out of an email costs one, a copilot question costs one, a forecast costs two, and an AI packing verification costs two. Each plan includes a monthly allowance that resets. Running out does not stop the warehouse — inventory, scanning, picking, packing and shipping are unaffected, since none of them need a model. Only the AI features pause until the allowance resets or the plan is changed.
Do I get AI features on the cheapest plan?
- Yes, and deliberately. Order parsing, product matching, the warehouse copilot and the reorder advisor are all on Starter. What increases with the tier is the monthly allowance and the operational features around them. Putting AI behind the top tier is common and it means the customers most likely to benefit from automation — the small teams — are the ones who never get to try it.
Is there a free trial?
- Yes — 14 days with every feature switched on and an AI credit allowance to evaluate with. No card is required to start. At the end you pick a plan or the account goes read-only; your data stays and is exportable either way. The trial is long enough to run a real week of orders through it and see a second one starting, which is the only way to tell whether a warehouse process actually works.
Can I change plans or cancel?
- Change plans at any time, and cancel at any time from within the account. There is no annual commitment and no cancellation fee. On cancellation your data remains exportable as CSV and through the REST API — worth confirming with any vendor before signing, because it is the question you have the least leverage to ask on the day you actually need it.
What is the Custom plan for?
- Operations whose shape does not fit a published tier — several warehouses under one company, an unusual user count, a volume commitment, or a requirement for something built. It is quoted against a rate card rather than negotiated from scratch, so the number is arrived at the same way each time. Most companies do not need it, and it is not the answer to simply wanting a discount.
